According to Mail Online, after analyzing data on 7.2 million births in Australia, Denmark, England and Scotland in recent years, scientists have found that babies born through major surgery are more likely to be born in the first five years of life. The risk of getting sick and being hospitalized is higher than babies born normally.

According to the report, experts from Aarhus University in Denmark explain why babies born by caesarean section are more likely to get sick.

“There are good bacteria in the mother’s body that are only present in normally born babies. Professor Lars Pedersen, head of the research team, said: “These bacteria are in the mother’s body on the way to normal birth, so babies who are surgically removed from the mother’s womb They are deprived of good bacteria, so they are more susceptible to diseases until they are 5 years old. ”
